Labor rates across Kentucky vary by neighborhood and by shop type, from small independents to dealership service bays, and mobile mechanics now cover many routine jobs in the driveway. Before authorizing a repair, ask for the estimate in writing, whether the shop warranties parts and labor (12 months / 12,000 miles is common, some offer more), and whether it can provide a loaner or a shuttle. Check the listing for hours, the makes the shop works on and its Google rating, then call ahead, since walk-in capacity is limited at smaller shops.

We were stranded in KY with a shuttle bus we just purchased that started throwing codes 5 minutes down the road. Called Follow Heart and he was willing to meet us and take a look on a Sunday with no notice. He was quick to diagnose the issue and offer reasonable advice knowing we were 2.5 hours from home. Got us fixed up and on our way for a reasonable price. Would absolutely hire again. Very fair and knowledgeable.

I can’t say enough good things about this mobile mechanic. We called him at 9:15 p.m., and he was there within 45 minutes. He was so friendly! He ran all the diagnostics on the check engine light for our 2016 Jeep Patriot, and we never felt uneasy or unsafe. His truck was fully equipped, and he travels within a 60-mile radius I believe, which made it so much easier for us. Even though parts stores were closed, he came back first thing in the morning—15 minutes after they opened—and got us back on the road. He handled everything, even the payments, by card, so we didn’t need any cash. We’re just so grateful for his professionalism and for making us feel safe. Couldn’t recommend him more!

my grandparents and i were traveling to michigan from florida and halfway through our trip our entire car was shaking and check engine light started blinking. we stopped at our hotel and were desperate looking for mechanics that were open and able to come out and look at it as it was late on a saturday. we came across mitchell and he was able to get out to us quickly and diagnose our problem. he had our car up and running smoothly within just a few hours. he was very professional, skilled, and dependable. the customer service was outstanding and communication was excellent. if you’re in the area or just passing through and something goes wrong, he’s the one to call. thank you so much again mitchell. we don’t know what we would’ve done without you!! 🤞🏼

On our way home from a family vacation and battery light came on. Pulled over and found a place off the freeway. Googled mobile mechanic and reached out to Mitchell. He got to my vehicle quickly and diagnosed the problem. Went to the parts store to pick up the part needed and got us back on the road quickly. He is friendly and quick to respond. Thanks again! We made it home with no further issues.
